Monday Journaling – What I See
It’s Monday evening and I am sitting in our reading chair. Luci is asleep in my lap and I just finished a book. A record is spinning on the record player. The chill tunes mixing with the last golden rays of sun.

With spring comes the feeling of change. I want to renew my wardrobe, get rid of clothes I now longer use and get something new. But is there a way to do circular and sustainable shopping?
Every action in life is like putting pearls on a string. One after the other. No one is worth more or less. But am I putting beads on the wrong string?
The power goes out and it’s so quiet. An hour later it’s back, and so is the constant hum that has become the soundtrack of our lives. I sigh.
The weather makes me tired and I am on my period. My skin feels sensitive and this week is all about warmth & comfort. Organic merino wool is exactly what I want close to my body right now.
Luci woke me up at 04:44. at 05:19 the neighbours dog started barking loudly. Then a car drove past outside. At 05:54 I give up and get up. Put on coffee . Bathroom. Splash my face. For some reason my kimono smells like waffles
Monday morning. Luci wakes me up around five. At 05:23 I let her out after she scratches the door. I can’t fall back asleep and get up a little before six. I turn on the coffee, drink some orange juice and light a candle. The holidays are over and today we go back to work, back to routines.
It the last, quiet morning of the year as I sip on my coffee and reflect on the fact that I moved on months ago.
Luci woke me up at 05:20. I have morning coffee with the news and spend most of my day doing pottery.
I hit the wall; I am burnt out and exhausted. These are some mindful routines I am trying to implement to care for myself and get better.
