Partial dreads and morning coffee

Morning coffee and Nyhetsmorgon on in the background while I slowly wake up with the world. I sit and doodle or scroll on Pinterest for inspiration while the wonderful team on tv gives me an update on what’s going on in the world mixed with cooking tips, recipes and lifestyle stuff. It’s a cozy way to start the day and a new routine that I’ve enjoyed for a few weeks now. Ever since I spent my morning at Adeles and we had it on in the background while she worked on my hair.

Oh yeah, I have partial dreads now and I love it. I really missed having dreadlocks but wanted to keep some loose hair this time, I like that it feels more soft and flowy but that I can still have small silver beads decorating parts of my hair. And that I don’t need a hair band to tie it back.

On Instagram I talked about books and reading habits. A lot of you seem to do what I do and read multiple books at once. I think currently I have around four with folded corners (yes I am that person). It’s nice to be able to swap between different things depending on what mood I am in and what I feel like reading.

How about you, are you a one-book-at-a-time person, or do you read several at once? And do you fold the corners?

Yesterday Luci wanted to go out at 05:20 and then I just couldn’t fall back asleep. So I sat by the kitchen table with coffee and candles until Dan got up. He just walked into the kitchen by the way, to ask what time it is. I checked and answered “06.53” followed by a quick “Wrong. It’s BAPPLE TIME!” (bapple = apple in this home). I let out a big sigh which apparently made his antics even better… He giggles as he cuts up his apple and puts a good dollop of peanut butter on each slice.

Then I spent the entire day in the kitchen with pottery. I am trying to be on my phone and computer less. Those devices are big culprits in keeping me from being creative and productive.

Tomorrow I’m heading outside to do some winter macro photography and create content around it for OM System. I might share the results here as well if that’s of interest to you?

I also hope you like these everyday life updates, it’s refreshing to not just share work here.
